Hawke’s Bay has become renowned as one of the top regions for Syrah, with flavours and a style unique to its terroir. This wine is no exception, with 100% Te Awanga grown fruit. The wine is highly aromatic with notes of purple berry and anise, supported by fine tannins concentrated berry and black pepper flavours. Drink now or cellar until 2025.
Palest lemon green, Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc ’17 is all about texture, refreshment and refinement. Grapefruit and lime juice on the nose, with notes of white flowers, quince and cardamom, the wine expands into fennel, currants, elderflower, pears, honey and sweet nectarine on the palate. Ripe sub-tropical fruit is balanced by a long, dry finish with a crisp edge and floral, delicate lift.
Cape Crest ’17 is closed with a 'Diam' cork, which eliminates any possibility of cork taint, allowing continued evolution in bottle for five years from harvest.
